1  Moreover David¹⁷³² and the captains⁸²⁶⁹ of the host⁶⁶³⁵ separated⁹¹⁴ to the service⁵⁶⁵⁶ of the sons¹¹²¹ of Asaph,⁶²³ and of Heman,¹⁹⁶⁸ and of Jeduthun,³⁰³⁸ who should prophesy⁵⁰¹² with harps,³⁶⁵⁸ with psalteries,⁵⁰³⁵ and with cymbals:⁴⁷⁰⁰ and the number⁴⁵⁵⁷ of the workmen^{376 4399} according to their service⁵⁶⁵⁶ was:¹⁹⁶¹

2  Of the sons¹¹²¹ of Asaph;⁶²³ Zaccur,²¹³⁹ and Joseph,³¹³⁰ and Nethaniah,⁵⁴¹⁸ and Asarelah,⁸⁴¹ the sons¹¹²¹ of Asaph⁶²³ under⁵⁹²¹ the hands³⁰²⁷ of Asaph,⁶²³ which prophesied⁵⁰¹² according to⁵⁹²¹ the order³⁰²⁷ of the king.⁴⁴²⁸

3  Of Jeduthun:³⁰³⁸ the sons¹¹²¹ of Jeduthun;³⁰³⁸ Gedaliah,¹⁴³⁶ and Zeri,⁶⁸⁷⁴ and Jeshaiah,³⁴⁷⁰ Hashabiah,²⁸¹¹ and Mattithiah,⁴⁹⁹³ six,⁸³³⁷ under⁵⁹²¹ the hands³⁰²⁷ of their father¹ Jeduthun,³⁰³⁸ who prophesied⁵⁰¹² with a harp,³⁶⁵⁸ to⁵⁹²¹ give thanks³⁰³⁴ and to praise¹⁹⁸⁴ the LORD.³⁰⁶⁸

4  Of Heman:¹⁹⁶⁸ the sons¹¹²¹ of Heman;¹⁹⁶⁸ Bukkiah,¹²³² Mattaniah,⁴⁹⁸³ Uzziel,⁵⁸¹⁶ Shebuel,⁷⁶¹⁹ and Jerimoth,³⁴⁰⁶ Hananiah,²⁶⁰⁸ Hanani,²⁶⁰⁷ Eliathah,⁴⁴⁸ Giddalti,¹⁴³⁷ and Romamti-ezer,⁷³²⁰ Joshbekashah,³⁴³⁶ Mallothi,⁴⁴¹³ Hothir,¹⁹⁵⁶ and Mahazioth:⁴²³⁸

5  All³⁶⁰⁵ these⁴²⁸ were the sons¹¹²¹ of Heman¹⁹⁶⁸ the king's⁴⁴²⁸ seer²³⁷⁴ in the words¹⁶⁹⁷ of God,⁴³⁰ to lift up⁷³¹¹ the horn.⁷¹⁶¹ And God⁴³⁰ gave⁵⁴¹⁴ to Heman¹⁹⁶⁸ fourteen^{702 6240} sons¹¹²¹ and three⁷⁹⁶⁹ daughters.¹³²³

6  All³⁶⁰⁵ these⁴²⁸ were under⁵⁹²¹ the hands³⁰²⁷ of their father¹ for song⁷⁸⁹² in the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ with cymbals,⁴⁷⁰⁰ psalteries,⁵⁰³⁵ and harps,³⁶⁵⁸ for the service⁵⁶⁵⁶ of the house¹⁰⁰⁴ of God,⁴³⁰ according to⁵⁹²¹ the king's⁴⁴²⁸ order³⁰²⁷ to Asaph,⁶²³ Jeduthun,³⁰³⁸ and Heman.¹⁹⁶⁸

7  So the number⁴⁵⁵⁷ of them, with⁵⁹⁷³ their brethren²⁵¹ that were instructed³⁹²⁵ in the songs⁷⁸⁹² of the LORD,³⁰⁶⁸ even all³⁶⁰⁵ that were cunning,⁹⁹⁵ was¹⁹⁶¹ two hundred³⁹⁶⁷ fourscore⁸⁰⁸⁴ and eight.⁸⁰⁸³

8  And they cast⁵³⁰⁷ lots,¹⁴⁸⁶ ward⁴⁹³¹ against⁵⁹⁸⁰ ward, as well the small⁶⁹⁹⁶ as the great,¹⁴¹⁹ the teacher⁹⁹⁵ as⁵⁹⁷³ the scholar.⁸⁵²⁷

9  Now the first⁷²²³ lot¹⁴⁸⁶ came forth³³¹⁸ for Asaph⁶²³ to Joseph:³¹³⁰ the second⁸¹⁴⁵ to Gedaliah,¹⁴³⁶ who¹⁹³¹ with his brethren²⁵¹ and sons¹¹²¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

10  The third⁷⁹⁹² to Zaccur,²¹³⁹ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

11  The fourth⁷²⁴³ to Izri,³³⁴⁰ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

12  The fifth²⁵⁴⁹ to Nethaniah,⁵⁴¹⁸ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

13  The sixth⁸³⁴⁵ to Bukkiah,¹²³² he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

14  The seventh⁷⁶³⁷ to Jesharelah,³⁴⁸⁰ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

15  The eighth⁸⁰⁶⁶ to Jeshaiah,³⁴⁷⁰ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

16  The ninth⁸⁶⁷¹ to Mattaniah,⁴⁹⁸³ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

17  The tenth⁶²²⁴ to Shimei,⁸⁰⁹⁶ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

18  The eleventh^{6249 6240} to Azareel,⁵⁸³² he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

19  The twelfth^{8147 6240} to Hashabiah,²⁸¹¹ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

20  The thirteenth^{7969 6240} to Shubael,⁷⁶¹⁹ he, his sons,¹¹²¹ and his brethren,²⁵¹ were twelve:^{8147 6240}

1 καὶ ἔστησεν Δαυιδ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τῆς δυνάμεως εἰς τὰ ἔργα τοὺς υἱοὺς Ασαφ καὶ Αιμαν καὶ Ιδιθων τοὺς ἀποφθεγγομένους ἐν κινύραις καὶ ἐν νάβλαις καὶ ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν κατὰ κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν ἐργαζομένων ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις αὐτῶν

2 υἱοὶ Ασαφ Ζακχουρ καὶ Ιωσηφ καὶ Ναθανιας καὶ Εραηλ υἱοὶ Ασαφ ἐχόμενοι Ασαφ τοῦ προφήτου ἐχόμενοι τοῦ βασιλέως

3 τῷ Ιδιθων υἱοὶ Ιδιθων Γοδολια καὶ Σουρι καὶ Ισαια καὶ Σεμεϊ καὶ Ασαβια καὶ Ματταθιας ἕξ μετὰ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν Ιδιθων ἐν κινύρᾳ ἀνακρουόμενοι ἐξομολόγησιν καὶ αἴνεσιν τῷ κυρίῳ

4 τῷ Αιμανι υἱοὶ Αιμαν Βουκιας καὶ Μανθανιας καὶ Αζαραηλ καὶ Σουβαηλ καὶ Ιεριμωθ καὶ Ανανιας καὶ Ανανι καὶ Ηλιαθα καὶ Γοδολλαθι καὶ Ρωμεμθι-ωδ καὶ Ιεσβακασα καὶ Μαλληθι καὶ Ωθηρι καὶ Μεαζωθ

5 πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ τῷ Αιμαν τῷ ἀνακρουομένῳ τῷ βασιλεῖ ἐν λόγοις θεοῦ ὑψῶσαι κέρας καὶ ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς τῷ Αιμαν υἱοὺς δέκα τέσσαρας καὶ θυγατέρας τρεῖς

6 πάντες οὗτοι μετὰ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν ὑμνῳδοῦντες ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου ἐν κυμβάλοις καὶ ἐν νάβλαις καὶ ἐν κινύραις ἐχόμενα τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ Ασαφ καὶ Ιδιθων καὶ Αιμανι

7 καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν μετὰ τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτῶν δεδιδαγμένοι ᾄδειν κυρίῳ πᾶς συνίων διακόσιοι ὀγδοήκοντα καὶ ὀκτώ

8 καὶ ἔβαλον καὶ αὐτοὶ κλήρους ἐφημεριῶν κατὰ τὸν μικρὸν καὶ κατὰ τὸν μέγαν τελείων καὶ μανθανόντων

9 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ πρῶτος υἱῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ τῷ Ασαφ τῷ Ιωσηφ Γοδολια ὁ δεύτερος Ηνια ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ δέκα δύο

10 ὁ τρίτος Ζακχουρ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δέκα δύο

11 ὁ τέταρτος Ιεσδρι υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δέκα δύο

12 ὁ πέμπτος Ναθανιας υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ δέκα δύο

‎1 ‏וַיַּבְדֵּ֣ל דָּוִיד֩ וְשָׂרֵ֨י הַצָּבָ֜א לַעֲבֹדָ֗ה לִבְנֵ֤י אָסָף֙ וְהֵימָ֣ן וִֽידוּת֔וּן הנביאים הַֽנִּבְּאִ֛ים^y בְּכִנֹּר֥וֹת בִּנְבָלִ֖ים וּבִמְצִלְתָּ֑יִם וַֽיְהִי֙ מִסְפָּרָ֔ם אַנְשֵׁ֥י מְלָאכָ֖ה לַעֲבֹדָתָֽם׃

‎2 ‏לִבְנֵ֣י אָסָ֗ף זַכּ֧וּר וְיוֹסֵ֛ף וּנְתַנְיָ֥ה וַאֲשַׂרְאֵ֖לָה בְּנֵ֣י אָסָ֑ף עַ֚ל יַד־אָסָ֔ף הַנִּבָּ֖א עַל־יְדֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

‎3 ‏לִידוּת֑וּן בְּנֵ֣י יְדוּת֡וּן גְּדַלְיָ֡הוּ וּצְרִ֡י וִֽ֠ישַׁעְיָהוּ חֲשַׁבְיָ֨הוּ וּמַתִּתְיָ֜הוּ שִׁשָּׁ֗ה עַל֩ יְדֵ֨י אֲבִיהֶ֤ם יְדוּתוּן֙ בַּכִּנּ֔וֹר הַנִּבָּ֕א עַל־הֹד֥וֹת וְהַלֵּ֖ל לַיהוָֽה׃ ס

‎4 ‏לְהֵימָ֑ן בְּנֵ֣י הֵימָ֡ן בֻּקִּיָּ֡הוּ מַתַּנְיָ֡הוּ עֻ֠זִּיאֵל שְׁבוּאֵ֨ל וִֽירִימ֜וֹת חֲנַנְיָ֣ה חֲנָ֗נִי אֱלִיאָ֤תָה גִדַּ֙לְתִּי֙ וְרֹמַ֣מְתִּי עֶ֔זֶר יָשְׁבְּקָ֣שָׁה מַלּ֔וֹתִי הוֹתִ֖יר מַחֲזִיאֽוֹת׃

‎5 ‏כָּל־אֵ֨לֶּה בָנִ֜ים לְהֵימָ֗ן חֹזֵ֥ה הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ בְּדִבְרֵ֥י הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים לְהָרִ֣ים קָ֑רֶן וַיִּתֵּ֨ן הָאֱלֹהִ֜ים לְהֵימָ֗ן בָּנִ֛ים אַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר וּבָנ֥וֹת שָׁלֽוֹשׁ׃

‎6 ‏כָּל־אֵ֣לֶּה עַל־יְדֵי֩ אֲבִיהֶ֨ם בַּשִּׁ֜יר בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֗ה בִּמְצִלְתַּ֙יִם֙ נְבָלִ֣ים וְכִנֹּר֔וֹת לַעֲבֹדַ֖ת בֵּ֣ית הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים עַ֚ל יְדֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ סאָסָ֥ף וִידוּת֖וּן וְהֵימָֽן׃

‎7 ‏וַיְהִ֤י מִסְפָּרָם֙ עִם־אֲחֵיהֶ֔ם מְלֻמְּדֵי־שִׁ֖יר לַיהוָ֑ה כָּל־הַ֨מֵּבִ֔ין מָאתַ֖יִם שְׁמוֹנִ֥ים וּשְׁמוֹנָֽה׃

‎8 ‏וַיַּפִּ֜ילוּ גּוֹרָל֣וֹת מִשְׁמֶ֗רֶת לְעֻמַּת֙ כַּקָּטֹ֣ן כַּגָּד֔וֹל מֵבִ֖ין עִם־תַּלְמִֽיד׃ פ

‎9 ‏וַיֵּצֵ֞א הַגּוֹרָ֧ל הָרִאשׁ֛וֹן לְאָסָ֖ף לְיוֹסֵ֑ף גְּדַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י הֽוּא־וְאֶחָ֥יו וּבָנָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎10 ‏הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֣י זַכּ֔וּר בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎11 ‏הָרְבִיעִי֙ לַיִּצְרִ֔י בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎12 ‏הַחֲמִישִׁ֣י נְתַנְיָ֔הוּ בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎13 ‏הַשִּׁשִּׁ֣י בֻקִּיָּ֔הוּ בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎14 ‏הַשְּׁבִעִ֣י יְשַׂרְאֵ֔לָה בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎15 ‏הַשְּׁמִינִ֣י יְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּ בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎16 ‏הַתְּשִׁיעִ֣י מַתַּנְיָ֔הוּ בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎17 ‏הָעֲשִׂירִ֣י שִׁמְעִ֔י בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎18 ‏עַשְׁתֵּֽי־עָשָׂ֣ר עֲזַרְאֵ֔ל בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎19 ‏הַשְּׁנֵ֤ים עָשָׂר֙ לַחֲשַׁבְיָ֔ה בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎20 ‏לִשְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ שֽׁוּבָאֵ֔ל בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎21 ‏לְאַרְבָּעָ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ מַתִּתְיָ֔הוּ בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎22 ‏לַחֲמִשָּׁ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ לִֽירֵמ֔וֹת בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎23 ‏לְשִׁשָּׁ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ לַחֲנַנְיָ֔הוּ בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎24 ‏לְשִׁבְעָ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ לְיָשְׁבְּקָ֔שָׁה בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎25 ‏לִשְׁמוֹנָ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ לַחֲנָ֔נִי בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎26 ‏לְתִשְׁעָ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ לְמַלּ֔וֹתִי בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎27 ‏לְעֶשְׂרִים֙ לֶֽאֱלִיָּ֔תָה בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎28 ‏לְאֶחָ֤ד וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ לְהוֹתִ֔יר בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎29 ‏לִשְׁנַ֤יִם וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ לְגִדַּ֔לְתִּי בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎30 ‏לִשְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ לְמַ֣חֲזִיא֔וֹת בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃

‎31 ‏לְאַרְבָּעָ֤ה וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ לְרוֹמַ֣מְתִּי עָ֔זֶר בָּנָ֥יו וְאֶחָ֖יו שְׁנֵ֥ים עָשָֽׂר׃ פ

1 Igitur David et magistratus exercitus segregaverunt in ministerium filios Asaph, et Heman, et Idithun, qui prophetarent in citharis, et psalteriis, et cymbalis secundum numerum suum, dedicato sibi officio servientes.

2 De filiis Asaph: Zachur, et Joseph, et Nathania, et Asarela, filii Asaph: sub manu Asaph prophetantis juxta regem.

3 Porro Idithun: filii Idithun, Godolias, Sori, Jeseias, et Hasabias, et Mathathias, sex, sub manu patris sui Idithun, qui in cithara prophetabat super confitentes et laudantes Dominum.

4 Heman quoque: filii Heman, Bocciau, Mathaniau, Oziel, Subuel, et Jerimoth, Hananias, Hanani, Eliatha, Geddelthi, et Romemthiezer, et Jesbacassa, Mellothi, Othir, Mahazioth:

5 omnes isti filii Heman videntis regis in sermonibus Dei, ut exaltaret cornu: deditque Deus Heman filios quatuordecim, et filias tres.

6 Universi sub manu patris sui ad cantandum in templo Domini distributi erant, in cymbalis, et psalteriis, et citharis, in ministeria domus Domini juxta regem: Asaph videlicet, et Idithun, et Heman.

7 Fuit autem numerus eorum cum fratribus suis, qui erudiebant canticum Domini, cuncti doctores, ducenti octoginta octo.

8 Miseruntque sortes per vices suas, ex æquo tam major quam minor, doctus pariter et indoctus.

9 Egressaque est sors prima Joseph, qui erat de Asaph. Secunda Godoliæ, ipsi et filiis ejus, et fratribus ejus duodecim.

10 Tertia Zachur, filiis et fratribus ejus duodecim.

11 Quarta Isari, filiis et fratribus ejus duodecim.

12 Quinta Nathaniæ, filiis et fratribus ejus duodecim.

13 Sexta Bocciau, filiis et fratribus ejus duodecim.

14 Septima Isreela, filiis et fratribus ejus duodecim.

15 Octava Jesaiæ, filiis et fratribus ejus duodecim.

16 Nona Mathaniæ, filiis et fratribus ejus duodecim.
